Chimere
Chimere has served the sterile processing community for 20+ years. Throughout her journey she has made great strides by successfully implementing and assisting in the development, expansion and redesign of the Sterile Processing Department. Chimere has also maintained a heavy focus on education and quality by assisting in the development of standardized practices, policies and procedures across multiple facilities. In 2024 Chimere was honored to be a first time HSPA national Conference speaker, serve as an HSPA Subject Matter Expert and GEORGIA STERILE PROCESSING ASSOCIATION (GSPA) President.
Kyree
Kyree U. Thomas was elected Vice- President of GSPA, who has over 14 years of experience in Surgical Services. Kyree entered the field as a Surgical Technologist and transitioned into Sterile Processing a few years later. Kyree is currently an Ancillary Manager with experience in Sterile Processing Management, Quality, and Infection Prevention. Board of Directors for HSPA

Kyree is a mom, mentor, leader, student, veteran, and a SPD Professional. She is a servant leader and a servant of the community.
Barry
Barry Bryant is the Sterile Processing Manager at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, with over 36 years of experience in Healthcare.

Barry’s experience consist of:

1. 16 years as a certified Surgical Technologist
2. 10 years in the US Army
3. 2 years as an OR Materials Coordinator
4. 5 years in the medical device industry
5. 15 years as a Sterile Processing Manager
To Our Amazing Sterile Processing Team,
Your hard work, precision, and dedication often go unseen but your impact is felt throughout every corner of the hospital. You are the backbone of surgical safety, the first line of defense in infection control, and a vital part of every successful procedure.
Every tray you prepare, every instrument you inspect, and every standard you uphold directly supports patient care and saves lives. That is no small feat.
I want to thank each of you for your commitment, attention to detail, and tireless efforts. Even on the busiest days, you show up and do the job with excellence. Keep pushing forward, stay focused, and take pride in knowing that your role is essential and deeply respected.
Anatta
Annetta Mcknight -RN is the Chief of Sterile Processing Service (SPS) with the Carl Vinson VAMC in Dublin Georgia. She has 5 years of service in this role and more than 20 years of experience as a perioperative nurse. With a deep commitment to patient safety and infection control, Ms. McKnight combines clinical expertise and leadership to ensure the highest standards in sterile processing. Known for her dedication to quality and safety, she has effectively streamlined processes, enhanced staff training, and built collaborative relationships across departments to support safe surgical practices. Latoya
LaToya Chapman is a Manager of Sterile Processing with 12+ years of experience onboarding staff, implementing standards to work practices, and staff development. Currently, she serves as the System Educator for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Sterile Processing, Committee Chair of Policies and Procedures, Instrument Tracking System Manager, and consultant for outpatient units.

LaToya is a member of Association of Surgical Technologists (CST) and HSPA holding certifications in CRCST, CIS, and CER. She is passionate about process improvement, creating workflows, connecting with staff, and serving as a member of the Allied Health Advisory Committee. This year, LaToya had the great privilege of speaking at HSPA's Annual Conference.
Wesely
Wesley Luke is a Certified Surgical Technologist with over 25 years of experience in Surgical Services. Wesley's experience consists of being a Surgical Technologist for 12 years in the Operating Room setting, then transitioned to Central Sterile Processing, where he was a manager for 13 years.

Wesley obtained his Surgical Technology diploma in 1998 from Valdosta Technical College, and in 2020 he completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Currently, Wesley is teaching Central Sterile Processing at Southern Regional Technical College, Tifton, GA.

Throughout his career, he has participated on many advisor boards, committees, and teams to advocate for Surgical Technology, Sterile Processing, and most importantly safe patient care.
Tonnie
Tondreira Hall "Tonnie" has dedicated her career to the healthcare field, beginning her journey in high school. With over 15 years of expertise, particularly in the operating room, where she served as both a surgical technologist and an endoscopy technician.

Tonnie holds the role of Sterile Processing Supervisor at Grady Hospital, where her leadership and technical skills ensure the highest standards of patient safety and efficiency.

In addition to her professional achievements, Tonnie has attained her Lean Six Sigma White and Green belts: undergoing her commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence in healthcare.
